Introduction to ViewMate

JewishGen participants seeking commentary or problem-solving advice from others are encouraged to use ViewMate to submit Jewish genealogy related material.

Here you can submit:

• Photos: for identification of people, clothing, buildings, scenes, objects, artifacts, etc.
• Letters, documents, book pages, maps, etc. for analysis or translation.

TIME LIMITATION: [Time subject to change]
Submitted images will have a limited view time of 168 hours (7 days).
Thereafter they can be placed in the searchable ViewMate Archive along with any responses you received.

You are requested to use this Web site responsibly. JewishGen reserves the right to remove any materials that come to its attention and which it determines to be objectionable.

JewishGen will not tolerate any cases of copyright infringement as well as the posting of pornographic or otherwise illegal materials. Participants not abiding by this rule will lose their access rights to JewishGen, and further action may be taken.

ViewMate is based on the free sharing of information and should not be used by professionals offering fee-based services.
