The data come from the book "The Mauritian Shekel: The Story of the Jewish Detainees in Mauritius, 1940-1945," by Genevieve Pitot (Port Louis, Mauritius: Editions Vizavi, 1998), as listed in Annex 2, derived from the "Jewish Burial Register" kept in the office of St. Martin Cemetery.
