KKBE's Coming Street Cemetery (190-195 Coming Street) is the oldest surviving Jewish cemetery in the South. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Cemetery listing also available at http://jhssc.org/kahal-kadosh-beth-elohim-kkbe-coming-street-cemetery/

Source locations available at: http://jhssc.org/kahal-kadosh-beth-elohim-kkbe-coming-street-cemetery/ [Some information obtained from "The Old Jewish Cemeteries at Charleston, S. C. A Transcript of the Inscriptions on Their Tombstones. 1762—1903." With an Introduction and Fuil Index by  Dr. Barnett A. Elzas, Rabbi of K, K. Beth Elohim, Charleston, South Carolina,1903 Charleston, South Carolina, The Daggett Printing Company, Printers and Book Makers,1903] and from James William Hagy This Happy Land: The Jews of Colonial and Antebellum Charleston.

Also attached is a copy of Dr. Elzas's book on the cemetery.  The book is important because some of the stones are illegible now, but he had written them down in 1903.

Additional include plaques that were on the walls, a picture of the area that was part of Sherith Israel which was the Orthodox area that was bought at the time of the split at KKBE.  There is also a photo of the Lopez family pot. They bought that plot because they married out of their religion and couldn't be buried in the KKBE cemetery.  The barrier has since been taken down and has been incorporated into the main cemetery.  The other photos include gates, dedication plaques, and memorials.
