Abstract : / Introduction:

We present here the geographical dispersion since the XIXth century of a polish german jewish family (issued from Icek Lajb ZALCENSZTAJN and FRANDLA BORNSZTAJN), which most common name is now SALZENSTEIN. They are mainly the children of Lajzer ZALTZENSZTAJN and Brana MARKOWICZ (1849-1882?). Here we present with more details the branch coming from Icek Lajb ZALCENSZTAJN (1870-1942) born in 1870 in Lodz, and married with FRANDLA BORNSZTAJN (1866-1942) in 1897. We also add some informations concerning Abram Mosek ZALCENSZTAJN (one of the brother of Icek Lajb) and of Estera SZAFRAN, his wife (both married in Lodz, 1895) and their children. Finaly we also add informations concerning Szymsie ZALCENSZTEJN (one of the brother of Icek Lajb, Szymsie was born in Lodz in 1867) and married with Nacha Jacheta KORPER in Lodz in 1890.

0. Introduction :
