Type / Call # | Personal / P-178 | Contains a typescript in five parts, with handwritten corrections, plus a handwritten supplement, of Bondi's autobiography, which deals with all phases of his life, including his connections with John Brown (1855-1857) and his experiences during Civil War. Also contains photocopies of letters (1903-1906) written to George W. Martin, secretary of the Kansas State Historical Society, regarding Bondi's years in Vienna, Austria, his connections with John Brown, and subsequent service in the Civil War. Also contains photocopies of letters (1883-1884) written by Bondi to George W. Glick, Governor of Kansas, regarding the appointment of Bondi as a member of the Kansas Board of Charities, and contains material pertaining to Kansas politics during Glick's term as Governor. Also contains a manuscript letter to the American Jewish Historical Society (1903) from Bondi relating to Theodore Wiener and Jacob Benjamin, Jews who also fought with John Brown in Kansas, 1855-1857.
