Levy of New York about social life in Baltimore (1904), and one dealing with Miss Levy's contribution to a forthcoming American Jewish Year Book (1906); and a manuscript letter to Mrs. David W. Amram thanking her for her praise of the article. "Elements of the Jewish Population," which appeared in The Russian Jew In the United States (1905). Also contains a manuscript letter written to Mr. & Mrs. Harry G. Friedman in New York City, from Jerusalem, in the weeks immediately preceding the beginning of the British mandate, describing conditions in Palestine, and Miss Szold's work with the Hadassah Medical Organization. Of special interest are her comments about the British, the problems between the Arabs and the Jews, and on the Jewish pioneers (1922). The sixth letter, a typescript, is of a routine nature written when Miss Szold was visiting New York City (1936).
